Lanthanum persulphide, La2S4
Lanthanum persulphide, La2S4, is prepared by heating lanthanum sulphate to 580°-600° in hydrogen sulphide, and resembles the corresponding cerium compound in properties, decomposing into the sesquisulphide and sulphur at 650°.
